About Patrick Willwerth, M.Ed., LADC-I
I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC-I) and the founder of Kettle Cove Counseling in Beverly, MA. My clinical practice focuses on helping individuals navigate substance use recovery, compulsive behaviors, and co-occurring mental health challenges.
My approach to therapy is practical, collaborative, and grounded in harm reduction, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe in meeting people exactly where they are, without judgment, to develop strategies for personal growth and lasting recovery.
In addition to traditional individual therapy, I hold a specialized certification in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) from the University of Vermont. I am also certified by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health as a problem gambling specialist (MA-PGS II). Prior to starting my full-time private practice, I provided home-based and outpatient clinical care through NFI Massachusetts and worked for years in special education. This diverse background shapes my belief that every person deserves accessible, individualized care tailored to their unique circumstances.
Outside of the office, I serve on the Board of Directors and as Region 3 President for the Massachusetts Association for Addiction Professionals (MAADAC), advocating for quality care and professional standards across the state.
